SCOLARSHIPS

The following scholarships, to be known as University Merit Scholarships, shall be awarded annually by the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of various results of the University Examinations. Unless specified otherwise these scholarships shall be tenable for the entire duration of the course of studies mentioned against each category. The number and value of each scholarship shall be as under:-

The scheme shall be open to the students of the colleges/Institutes affiliated or maintained with this University only.
On the basis of the result of  B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Pass Course)
One Scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof in each group i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce for doing B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. II (pass) subject to a minimum of one scholarship in each group.

Rs.200/- Per Month

On the basis of the  result of  B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Honours )
One scholarship for each subject for standing first in the aggregate of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons.) Part-I exam. for doing the respective degree course.

On the basis of the result of  LL.B. Part-I 1st year (I&II Sem.)
One scholarship for LL.B. course for standing first in the aggregate of LL.B. Part-I (I & II Semester) for doing LLB Course

Two scholarships (one for each of the two schemes) for doing Acharya or M.A.(Sanskrit).  The scholarship(s) on the basis of Shastri examination shall be admissible to the student(s) joining the Acharya course at the Shrimad Dayanand Vidyapeeth, Jhajjar, notwithstanding the fact that this institution is of the associate status of this University.
All the regular and full time degree courses including M.Phil. other than the courses offered through distance education mode, be included in the merit scholarship schemes. These scholarships shall be available to students of all those courses which have a separate entity.  The nomenclature of course, scheme of exam. and duration of the course be taken into consideration for determining the separate entity.  Minimum of one scholarship shall be offered for each such course and further one each on 1000 students.

One scholarship for each course for standing Ist in the aggregate of BBA/BCA/B.Tech.Part-1(I & IInd Sem. together) for doing the respective degree course.
The scheme shall be open to the students of the colleges/Institutes affiliated or maintained with this University only.

For the students who have joined any of M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./MBA/Diploma in Journalism and Computer Science and LL.B.(3 years course) after having passed B.Sc.-III(Pass or Hons.). One stipend for M.Ed. students who have joined the course after having passed B.Ed. examination with first division.

B.A./B.Com.-III (Pass or Hons.) B.A.,B.Ed./B.Com.B.Ed. with atleast 55% marks.

The lower qualifying Exam. prescribed for joining the LL.B.(3 years course in first division).

General Stipends shall be awarded to deserving students not exceeding one in each regular degree course in University teaching departments and PG Regional Centre, Rewari on merit basis on the recommendations of the Selection Committee to be constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.

Haryana State Merit Scholarships are to be awarded to those students who have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Final Examination of this University in the current year and joined as M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./B.Ed. as regular student in maintain/affiliated colleges/UTD/PGRC Rewari of the MD University, Rohtak

This scholarship will be awarded to the regular student of M.A.(Final) Physical Education (on Merit basis) of M.D. University, Rohtak, who has passed M.A.(Previous) Physical Education in Ist attempt and is wrestler.

This scholarship shall be awarded  to a regular student of M.A.(Final) History of MD. University, Rohtak (on Merit basis), and opted for specialization in Archaeology in M.A. Final Class. This scholarship shall be awarded to the student who has passed M.A. Previous, History in 1st attempt.

This scholarship shall be awarded for one year to the student of MBA 3rd Semester who have secured the highest marks in Ist &2nd Semesters taken together in the Ist attempt.  If the eligible candidate for this scheme is getting or becomes eligible to get any other scholarship (excluding fee concession/stipend), the scholarship shall be awarded to the next eligible candidate.

This scholarship shall be awarded to a regular student of M.Sc. (Final) Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, M.D.U., Rohtak who have secured highest marks in M.Sc. (Previous) in Ist attempt with atleast 55% marks.  In case of more than one eligible candidate, the same would be awarded on the basis of merit to be determined exclusively on marks obtained by the applicants in B.Sc. (Final)exam. of the preceding year.

This cash prize shall be awarded to a student of M.Phil course for working his/her on the topic/ area concerning the life activities and ideology of Sir Chhotu Ram in his/her dissertation.   According to the scheme, the selection of awardee is to be made through a Selection Committee.  50% of the amount is to be given to the selected candidate immediately after his/her selection and the remaining 50% amount after the completion and submission of his/her M.Phil Dissertation approved synopsis of dissertation duly recommended by the Supervisor and the Head of the Department concerned.

Two scholarships in the Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSAR) for MBA Programme
The eligibility of the student shall be determined as under:-
i) Academic Merit                                 75% marks
ii)Potential of the candidate for
Excellency in his/her respective field   15% marks
iii)Genuineness of the requirement       10% marks    
The academic merit for M.B.A. 2 Year Shell be determined as under:-

1. 10+2                                    25% marks
2. Graduation                          25% marks
3. MBA 1 & 2nd Sem.             25% marks

The eligibility of the student for MBA 5 Years  shall be determined as under:-

1. 10+2                                    25% marks
2. MBA 5 Years Ist Module   25% marks
3. MBA 7th & 8th Sem.            25% marks

Two scholarships in the Deptt. of Engg. & Technology
The academic merit of the Engineering student shall be determined as under:-
i) 10+2                                                  25% marks
ii) Ist to 6th Semester                            50% marks

The academic merit of the M.A.(Fine Arts and Muksic) shall be determined as under:-
i) 10+2                                                  25% marks
ii) Graduation                                       25% marks
iii) M.A.(P)                                           25% marks 
These will be awarded in the final academic year of the course.

The scholarship shall be awarded to a regular student of M.Sc.(Final) Maths. with Computer Science of M.D.University, Rohtak who has secured highest marks in M.Sc.(Previous) in the first attempt.  In case of more than one eligible candidate, the same would be awarded on the basis of merit to be determined exclusively on marks obtained by the applicants in B.Sc.Final examination of the preceding year.

Two scholarship shall be awarded to the scholars one each in the University Teaching Deptts. of Hindi & Sanskrit for pursuing M.A.  These will be awarded in the final academic year of the course.

The eligibility of the student shall be determined as under:-
i) Academic merit                                  75% marks
ii) Potential of the candidate for Excellency in his/her respective fields.                        15% marks
iii) Genuineness of the requirements     10% marks
The academic merit shall be determined as under:-
i) Graduation                                          15% marks
ii) M.A.(Previous)                                   60% marks
The potential and genuineness of the candidate will be decided by a Committee consisting of HOD and two senior teacher of the Department concerned

The Scholarships shall be awarded to two regular students of LL.B.Final year (Five Year Scheme) on the basis of score upto 8th semester.  One scholarship will be given to the topper of overall result upto LL.B. 8th semester and the other scholarship will be awarded to scheduled caste student who stood first in schedule caste category upto LL.B.8th semester.  The marks of such students should also not be below 60% marks upto 8th Semester

This stipend will be allowed to the students of Scheduled Caste Category and take admission in U.T.D.  The students will not be eligible whose parents/guardians annual income from all sources exceeds Rs.2,00000/-.

Any single girl child of her parents.  In a family if one son and one daughter is available, then girl child will not be considered for scholarship under the scheme.  The scheme is applicable to such a single girl child who has taken admission in regular, full time Ist Year Master Degree Non-professional Courses only in any recognized University or a Post-graduate College.  This Scholarship is available to P.G. Ist Year Student only.  Admission to P.G. Courses in Distance Education mode is not covered under the scheme.
Age: Girl students upto the age of 30 year at the time of admission in PG Courses are eligible.       

The value of Scholarship is Rs.2000/- per month for a period of two years only (10 months in the year) i.e. full duration of a P.G. Course

For B.Sc.(Hons.) Students: Scholarship will be provided to the students during three years of B.Sc. (Hons.) Courses in basic sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botony, Zoology and Geology from the Colleges/Universities located within Haryana. 
For M.Sc. Students: Scholarship will be provided to the students during two years of M.Sc. Courses in basic sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botony, Zoology and Geology from the Colleges/Universities located within Haryana.
The Institution/College from where the previous examination has been passed for award of scholarship should be situated in Haryana.
Only those students would be eligible who have obtained minimum 60% marks in the previous class.  Further, the students have to maintain atleast 60% marks and 75 % attendance throughout for continuation of this scholarship.
Only regular students will be eligible for this scholarship.  The student studying privately or through correspondence/distance mode or in unrecognized Institutions will not be eligible for this scholarship.
The student getting scholarship under this scheme can also avail the benefit of any other scholarships/fee concession given by the Institution.
There is no income limit for this scholarship.

The amount of scholarship for the students standing in B.Sc.(Hons.) classes will be Rs.4000/- Per Month+contingencies Stipend of Rs.4000/- once in a year.

The amount of scholarship for the students standing in M.Sc. classes will be Rs.6000/- Per Month + Contingencies Stipend of Rs.5000/- once in a year.

1. Student with a minimum of 60 % marks in the previous examination can apply.
2. Income of parents of the student (both father & mother) should not exceed Rs.10,000/- Per Month (exclusive of House Rent and Medical Allowance in the case of employee).
3. Student should not be receipt of scholarship from any other source.
4. Students studying in Professional/Vocational Courses such a Medical/Management/Technical/Scientific/Engg./Computer Technology/Graduation in Commerce, Education & Post-graduation etc. shall be eligible to apply.        

Each Scholarship shall be valued a tuition fee + a minimum of 25 % of the tuition fee subject to a maximum of Rs.600/- per month at the discretion of the society. 
The scholarship is available for the full term of the course subject to fulfillment of the above condition and that student has to apply afresh each year.
